I'm Caroline Draper — a UKCP-accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor and hypnotherapist based in Little Plumstead, near Norwich. I offer counselling and hypnotherapy across Norfolk and online.
My journey — from the NHS to private practice
I began my career in the NHS, where I spent many years working alongside people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives — from acute mental-health crises to long-term recovery. That work grounded me in the realities of anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, and taught me the quiet power of being properly listened to.
I later worked in the UK prison service, offering therapeutic support in an environment where trust has to be earned slowly and honesty is everything. It's an experience that shaped how I hold space today: without judgement, without agenda, and with genuine warmth.
Today I run a private practice in Norfolk. My clients come from Norwich, the Broads, and further afield — some in person at my consulting room near Little Plumstead, others online. What they share is a wish to feel more themselves again. My job is to help you get there, at your pace.
